First time to make a custom scented candle. Ben did a great job hosting this class and it was very interesting and a fun experience! 😊
I now have one of these for every room of my house. I love the seasonal candles, but Palo Santo is my forever + always scent from CSB. It’s a strong but not overpowering scent that doesn’t activate my asthma and makes my (2 pet) household smell amazing.
Whether you're going solo like I did or grabbing friends, the Candle Pouring Experience (CPE) is a must-do event. The environment is super welcoming and it's clear from the start that the CPE is all about you & finding the perfect scent or two for you.
Clean Slate doesn't hold back on the available scents either - you have so many to choose from covering a full range. Thankfully they're kind enough to group them according to scent profile like florals or seasonals or scents that lean more masculine (and still more!). It makes creating your signature scent fun and absolutely gives you another reason to return again to explore new combinations.
What's more is all the built-in upgrades they've made available. It's not just the scent you're choosing, but there are multiple options for the vessel and wick as well. I went with the wick that sounds a little like a lovely fire crackling, and my vessel a delightful iridescent rainbow.
During the creating process Clean Slate does a wonderful job of explaining not only the process itself but the "why" behind it. Their knowledge translates so well into their passion and they're eager to help you get it right - whether your right is a single scent, a 50/50 combo, or any other variation. They are prepared!
Even more exciting is that the CPE doesn't end when you leave or pick up your cured candle a few days later. If you keep your recipe on hand (it's included when you pick up the candle) Clean Slate can recreate it for you without requiring that you book another CPE spot. So you can literally create the perfect signature scent and get it again and again and again.
I know I'll be booking another CPE spot soon and you should, too!
